What A Mess!
My name is Roger Sanchez, and I helped Wayne during his 2022 Sheriff run and developed this website for him (which is why I have access to it).
Our Public Servants Are Pushing Narratives Prematurely
I have had to give posting this article a lot of thought, but considering the high-traffic this website has been receiving as of late, and the extremely unethical and seemingly unlawful (prejudicial public statements) and premature narrative pushed by our local officials (Kristy Archuleta openly stating Wayne Bryant is guilty of this supposed ‘arson’), and Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold (tying two completely unrelated items in her press-release: freedom of thought/opinion and an allegation of arson), I feel they, and the legacy media, have applied a prejudgment of him and his character against the public prior to his trial. An example of this happening in the state of Colorado here.
Posting here seems to be the only way to at least level the playing-field in an environment where the seeming character-assassination of Wayne Bryant (as we know him around here) has already been pushed (he is guaranteed the presumption of innocence under the Fifth Amendment and Fourteenth Amendment and Colorado Constitution, Art. II, Section 25); the public-servant and media push has the power to expand negative public opinion of him, and if he were to ask to move his trial to a different court, the public-narrative by ‘figureheads’ has already been cast, and his rights to a fair trial will have been destroyed. Here, you can at least see the other side of what questions we are asking and why the sudden rush to push narratives and guilt to the public from public servants prior to trial.
Findings That the Fire Seems to Have Started from Inside the Room Housing the Election Equipment: Hindering both the Official Narrative Provided by Public Servants – and…
Today, I found the last picture provided by Kristy Archuleta to The Denver Post (the one on the right within the banner on this page), and if you combine it with the image on the left, IT IS APPARENT THAT THE WINDOW IS NOT BROKEN, YET THE FIRE IS ALREADY EXTINGUISHED.
(NOTE: Here are the photos I archived from DenverPost.com in case they are removed or edited: Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, Image 4 and Image 5).
This is the only window in this room, and according to ‘reputable’ officials, the fire was allegedly started by William Wayne Bryant by running down the alley a little past 1:00 A.M. in the morning of June 12, 2025; breaking a window to throw a molotov-cocktail and burn the room and articles within it (including voting machines / Dominion voting machines), then runs away to his truck and drives home (why wasn’t he pursued that night? he lives 45-minutes away from downtown Pagosa Springs and law-enforcement seems to have had time to organize a pursuit). It’s just a question, and they probably needed to do research before any rash decision, so that’s forgivable.
…Potentially Hindering Election Integrity
With these unbroken windows being shown in the photos provided by Kristy Archuleta to the legacy media, and Colorado Secretary of State prematurely providing public-opinion of the situation, there are so many things building-up that could end up damaging the already questionable election-integrity here:
- The building’s ownership is privately owned with the county leasing space: if – IF – the fire was started inside, and the narrative of Wayne Bryant allegedly breaking the window to throw an incendiary-item into the room to cause the fire is destroyed (it seems pretty clear-cut to me based off the images provided that that narrative should be easily dismantled and incredulous), then it’s quite possible there was (and possibly has been) access to that room – the room that houses election equipment – by people who are untrustworthy, agenda-driven, compromised, etc. This isn’t out-of-the-question to consider, and definitely does have a huge impact on (cough!) ‘election integrity’.
- Again, if the narrative regarding Wayne Bryant allegedly throwing a molotov-cocktail into the room – the room that houses election equipment – is proven false, then it’s possible there were people who planned an arson to frame Wayne. It’s in the realm of possibility as the fire would then have been allegedly started inside the room willingly by people (Kristy Archuleta, can we have the rest of that ceiling-cam footage please?).
- Obviously, it goes without really thinking too much about it, that election integrity would be thrown into high-question, and rightfully so, if the official narrative falls apart and with many caveats in place here (ex: room access, private ownership, town/county issues, etc.). One can only ponder until more evidence is gathered.
- Again, all the above is speculated with what’s been gathered and presented thus far. Maybe Wayne Bryant is guilty. Maybe the official narrative is incorrect – who knows (LOL!).
The Legacy Media Has A Responsibility Here
With how fast this ‘evidence’ was provided to the media and the media so quick to publish without due-diligence (some were Pulitzer recipients), will the media and the public be able to receive the footage from the camera in the room (an initial still-image of the ceiling-cam footage was provided); I mean, we’ve already had selective images and opinion published, so why not? I mean, after seeing the initial images, our public servants should feel that they can continue with providing evidence to the media prior to trial, right?! What’s to stop them now?
The Legacy Media Should Know A Bit More About Pagosa Springs, CO / Archuleta County
I’d be amiss if I didn’t provide some additional questionable scenarios about 449 San Juan Street, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 (this building that Wayne Bryant allegedly set fire to on June 12, 2025), but maybe that research can be done by the National journalists/editors/reporters/etc. who covered this rather quickly without understanding Archuleta County. I think you’d see some questionable situations here. Here, let me get you started:
- We had quite the…demanding…judge in Judge Wilson who helped jump-start, by way of prima donna-esque action, the new courthouse construction (which allegedly cost Archuleta County tens-of-millions to build) as he openly admitted, in so many words and actions, he would never enter the old courthouse (you know, the courthouse that Wayne Bryant allegedly set fire to); this set precedent to the new courthouse being built at the behest of most of the constituents.
- PagosaRocks.com – Ronnie and Terry Urbanczyk won the bid for this property (after a crazy Archuleta BoCC meeting where there were multiple locals who submitted their bids on the old Pagosa Springs Courthouse timely (the same courthouse that Wayne Bryant is currently being charged with arson on), getting beat-out by an out-of-state individual was able to put in a bid PAST THE DEADLINE over locals (hint: he eventually won the bid). My understanding is that the property was appraised/valued at between $4-to-7-million (give-or-take), and was sold to Urbanczyk for around $550,000 (plus, adding insult to injury, it’s leased back to Archuleta County. Oh, and the locals who bid on it (and lost) weren’t too happy with our BoCC allowing the rules to be broken for an out-of-state bid pas the deadline that undermined theirs.
- Now, we have an alleged arson.
It seems we need answers and we need these news outlets, public officials/servants – and Pagosa detectives – to provide clarity on what is going on here and why the story of a man throwing a molotov-cocktail into the room (allegedly Wayne Bryant) is possible with an unbroken window.
I will let the judicial process take place before I pass concrete judgement, but I will add that Wayne seems to be the perfect scapegoat to pin anything on. For example:
- During his run for Archuleta County Sheriff in 2022, he had his signs allegedly stolen by his opponent’s campaign manager, Lisa Scott (I covered a piece of this story in one of our United for Freedom videos). The issue was never resolved, but here’s the footage of the alleged theft.
- In addition, there was an alleged repeat pattern of people vandalizing and shooting at his campaign signs (of which, I designed, so that sucked, LOL!), and here’s one of his public comments with one of the vandalized campaign signs presented, as concern, to our Archuleta County BoCC (Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners) Alvin Shaaf, Warren Brown and Ronnie Maez.
- Locally, we had a bounty set on former sheriff candidates; one of which was Rob Keating – arrested by Sheriff Deputies Shane Bracken and Michael Sindelar under an alleged ‘bounty’ enticement. Similar to Wayne Bryant questioning election integrity, Rob Keating questioned the 1033 issue regarding former Archuleta County Sheriff Ronnie Valdez, demanding the County public servants clarify what happened to the unaccounted-for equipment ($2.2-to-2.6 million worth of surplus military equipment acquired by the Sheriff’s Office that the County Finance Office could not account for) under then Sheriff Ronnie Valdez. Due to, among other things, the way the case was handled, Rob Keating had his charges for his October 5, 2019 issue dismissed.
- Even former Archuleta County District Attorney Christian Champaigne stated there was nothing wrong with profiling people.
Archuleta County officials seem to like to burden their constituents with projects they vote against.
- The construction of Wal-Mart;
- the current multi-million dollar U.S. 160 Project (for – as some in Pagosa Town Council would say ‘walkability’); this, at the behest of local business owners directly affected.
- Ongoing investigations into alleged violations from our Archuleta County BoCC Chair Veronica Medina regarding her ties/conflict-of-interest with Exit Realty / Shelley Low and property that was going to be sold to our county (at an exaggerated price [oh yes, ‘fiscal conservatism’]) when she should have recused herself. During a recall effort, our County Attorney Todd Weaver represented her (from what I hear, allegedly unlawfully) on a personal level during the recall effort. There are open cases regarding this.
- Man, we’ve even had TWO debates that were open to all the candidates, and with both of them, the candidates that won didn’t show up to either of the debates – Debate 1 and Debate 2.
- Speaking of the candidates, Rachel Suh, who ran against current County Commissioner Veronica Medina, had her words taken out-of-context in the paper regarding Veronica Medina’s ‘friends’. I advised her to contact the paper and have them issue a correction for the very negative way they twisted her words and other items, and they informed her they could only issue a correction for ONE ITEM (and the item they corrected was the less-important of them).
- Heck, I even found out our local county website (the Sheriff’s department section) had porn linked to it due to county I.T. personnel not doing their job in maintaining our official government online presence (how is that for proper maintenance?).
I could go on-and-on, but for the sake of compactness (as much as could be had), I will refrain. If you end up studying Archuleta County, you might give Wayne Bryant a fair-shot vs. publishing negative articles that work against his rights.
So, forgive me if I judge harshly the external media and government public-servants who are criticizing Wayne Bryant without having had a trial when there’s been so much more in our town and county that deserved your attention prior. In addition, it’s extremely irresponsible and reprehensible that any public servant, like Jena Griswold would openly conflate two completely separate subjects to create a narrative that doesn’t exist to push for a narrative of ‘questioning elections’. Sorry, not sorry; people have free-will and thought and just because some people question elections (as a former I.T. professional for about twenty years, I can criticize that yes, there’s room for error and question). I mean, are you going to criticize the people currently questioning the 2024 election claiming that the election was stolen from Kamala Harris? Since you haven’t, I doubt it.

Ottman did NOT ask for limits on Griswold; he merely pointed her out as an example of just how far out this accusation before trial has reached. He DID ask for LOCAL officials to be tempered, and that was NOT addressed in the USNews.com news article – very misleading, and it makes it appear as if his lawyer is incorrectly incompetent in asking for things he never did and knows he can’t ask for.
